The Healing Ceremony will take place at Bethlehem Cave.

CAVE LOCATION & ACCESS:

The cave is located on private property at the intersection of Runkle Road and Bethlehem Cave Road at 12760 Bethlehem Cave Rd.

DO NOT TAKE BETHLEHEM CAVE ROAD OUT OF PIEDMONT unless you have a serious off road vehicle.  Rocks stick out of the ground over a foot and an active creek flows across the road.

​

From Rapid City/Northern Hills, it is recommended to approach by heading to Sturgis and taking Vanocker Canyon Rd. to Runkle Rd.  From the Southern Hills, get to Nemo and enter Vanocker Canyon Rd. from that end.  Take this to Runkle Rd.  If you come from Sturgis, Runkle will be on your left.  If you come from Nemo, Runkle will be on your right.  Runkle Road is also not a great road, but it is far better than Bethlehem Cave Road.  A high clearance vehicle is still a good idea.

If you're trying to get to Nemo from the southern hills, remember the highway 385 construction.  It is listed to be open during the date of the ceremony, however, make sure you plan/check ahead to confirm.

​

Signs that read "Crystal Coherence" will guide you in starting at Runkle Road.

​​

If you don't have a high clearance vehicle, meet at the intersection of Runkle Road and Vanocker Canyon Road at 2:45 to caravan/carpool.  You can leave your vehicle there.

CAVE ATTIRE / WARM GEAR:

It is 49 degrees in the cave and you will by laying down and not moving for nearly 2 hours.

You MUST bring your own insulating pad (sleeping pad) and warm blanket/sleeping bag.  Dress warmly.
